Jowar Rotis are prepared everyday across India as a healthier alternative to regular, wheat flour Rotis. They’re gluten-free, diabetic-friendly and good for the heart. Unlike normal rotis, Jowar Rotis don’t become hard and rubbery after cooling down. Serve these rotis with any curry-based vegetable for a healthy and tasty main course.

  • 1 Cup Jowar atta
  • 3/4th cup of water
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Ghee(optional)
  • For 1 cup Jowar Atta, boil 3/4 cup of water in a pan. Add salt (as per your  taste) in boiling water. Now pour the Jowar Atta into boiled water. After the mixture cools, knead the dough thoroughly to make soft rotis.
  • Make equal portions of the dough and flatten with moist fingers or use a clean plastic sheet to make rotis. Place them on preheated tava and roast them on both sides till brown spots appear on it.
  • Apply ghee(optional). Serve hot. Tastes best with, spicy chutney, onions, and green chilies
